The Specialist Access Engineering and Maintenance Association (SAEMA) is the National organisation for the Permanent and Temporarily Installed Façade Access Equipment Industry.

SAEMA is a member of the National Specialist Contractors Council (NSCC) and is affiliated to The National Access & Scaffolding Confederation (NASC) and S. A. E. M. A. members operate throughout the UK and in many cases on a world-wide basis.


The Aim of the Association:

To encourage adherence to safe and best practice in the provision of access to buildings and other structures, for the purpose of cleaning and maintenance operations.

To participate in the development of any National and International Standards relevant to the Façade Access Equipment Industry.

To co-operation with other specialist Bodies and Institutions (Property Developers, Architects, Planning Supervisors, Insurance Companies, Facilities Managers, etc.,) involved in the provision and upkeep of Façade Access Systems and Equipment.

To act generally in the clients common interests in all matters concerning the business of design, manufacture, installation, maintenance and testing of façade access equipment/systems.

To promote co-operation between its members, in the raising of standards in the Permanent & Temporarily Installed Façade Access Equipment Industry
