SAEMA has started to gather statistics on accidents/incidents from its members from 1 January 2005.
The report will show the industry the level of safety being maintained by its members and how it compares to non members.
Method of calculation:
| Incidence rate = | No. of reported accidents x 1000 Average No. of Operatives |
| Frequency rate = | No. of reported accidents x 100,000 Man Hours Worked |
