The No Falls Foundation (NFF) has issued a new PocketCard to provide quick, simple and handy guidance for anyone working at height. Its four key height safety messages are Avoid, Prevent, Minimise and Ask:
Avoid – always avoid working at height wherever possible.
Prevent – if you must work at height, do everything reasonably practicable to prevent anyone falling, utilising the most suitable equipment.
Minimise – if you cannot eliminate the risk of a fall
Ask – if in doubt, further and very helpful guidance on working at height can be found on the Health & Safety Executive website at www.hse.gov.uk or on the Access Industry Forum website at www.accessindustryforum.co.uk
As provider of the best training and guidance in the temporary and permanent suspended access industry, SAEMA aims to share the latest news regarding site safety. Our aim is to reduce accidents on site that occur as a result of working at height.
