The No Falls Foundation (NFF) has issued a new PocketCard to provide quick, simple and handy guidance for anyone working at height. Its four key height safety messages are Avoid, Prevent, Minimise and Ask:
Avoid – always avoid working at height wherever possible.
Prevent – if you must work at height, do everything reasonably practicable to prevent anyone falling, utilising the most suitable equipment.
Minimise – if you cannot eliminate the risk of a fall
Ask – if in doubt, further and very helpful guidance on working at height can be found on the Health & Safety Executive website at www.hse.gov.uk or on the Access Industry Forum website at www.accessindustryforum.co.uk
