We are pleased to share the following story on fire safety in multi-storey buildings, first published by the Construction Health Safety Group (CHSG).
PAS 9980:2022 provides a methodology for the fire risk appraisal of external wall construction and cladding of existing multi-storey and multi occupied residential buildings.
PAS 9980:2022 is directly intended for competent fire engineers and competent building professionals who are tasked with advising on the fire risk of external wall construction of existing blocks of flats.
However, it also expected to prove useful for the following personnel (this list is not exhaustive):
- Fire Risk Assessors
- Building owners/landlords
- Contractors
- Fire and Rescue Authorities
