There are some temporary issues with the supply chain responsible for assessing the NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Suspended Access Installation.
The number of assessors who are qualified and experienced in assessing the installation of suspended access equipment has been affected suddenly by factors outside of the industry’s control and as a result we can process an extremely limited number of NVQs.
SAEMA and CITB are working together to resolve the issue and we hope to return to normal levels as soon as possible. However, in order to maintain quality, training new assessors is not a quick process and this may take some months.
SAEMA asks for clients’, duty holders’, safety officers’ and contractors’ understanding when reviewing installers qualifications during this period.
