Last year the Environment Act was passed to protect our environment by improving air and water quality, restoring natural habitats, increasing biodiversity and reducing waste changes will be driven by legally binding targets and enforced from early 2022:

This includes:
- Cleaning up the country’s air
- Improving or creating natural habitats
- Increasing biodiversity
- Reducing waste
- Making better use of our resources
Naturally, these things impact us all but they directly impact the construction and transport sectors, whose development plans are often at odds with the preservation of the environment.
