LEXiCON Methodology Consultation

With a long history in delivering the best training and guidance in the temporary and permanent suspended access industry, SAEMA monitors the latest developments in the construction sector, particularly regarding worker health and safety, sustainability and equality.

We are pleased to issue the following short release, which first appeared on the CLC’s website (constructionleadershipcouncil.co.uk).

The Construction Products Association (CPA) and the Construction Innovation Hub (CIH) have jointly launched a consultation on the LEXiCON Project.

It opened on 7 July and will run to 18 August 2021.

The consultation is seeking a breadth of feedback from UK construction industry stakeholders, including construction product manufacturers, designers, constructors, commissioning engineers, architects, and contractors.

The aim of the LEXiCON project is to support international best practice for the creation and management of product data by standardising the production, use, and management of product data. This will be achieved through the development of a consensus process for the collaborative formation of product data templates and a software platform with a free-to-access industry portal.

The CPA and CIH will be hosting a webinar on Wednesday 21 July 2021 at 2.00pm providing information on solutions proposed in the industry report and the process for consultation. Register here.
